Necronite is based on mystical monoliths, ruins and gravestones.

Name origin[]

Necronite's name is a combination of the prefix necro-, meaning dead, and the mineral suffix -ite. It shares a its name origins with the Necronomicon, a fictional grimoire with otherworldly knowledge.
