Trivia

  • No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Icetope and its evolution.
  • Icetope learns moves via level up two, then three, then five levels apart. When put together numerically, they become 235, the isotope of uranium used for fission.

Design origin

Icetope is based on a slug and a nuclear reactor. The icicle-like features on its back resemble control rods.

Name origin

Icetope's name is a combination of ice and isotope.
