Trivia

Kobold guide

General idea for Koblin line.

  • The Koblin line was one of the last lines to get finalized designs, as there were many struggles during development.
  • The method of its split evolution was considered impossible to implement for a time, but eventually a way was discovered.
  • Many designs tried to include a burning candle to reference its traditional folklore.
  • When in the running for confirmation, the design that eventually won was often referred to as "Mr. Puggles".

Design origin

Koblin is based on the kobold, a mythic, sprite-like creature that takes on many forms such as candles and animals.

Name origin

Koberus's name is a combination of kobold and Cerberus, the dog guardian of the Greek underworld.
