Trivia[]

  • Magroplex is the heaviest non-Legendary Pokémon in the Sage Pokédex.

Design origin[]

Magroplex and it’s pre-evolved forms may be based on the evolution of snakes, starting as a legged reptile like Orett, that evolved into one with less defined legs such as Anvelid and finally into a fully serpentine creature.

Magroplex may have also been inspired by prehistoric snakes such as the infamous Titanoboa.

Name origin[]

Magroplex's name is a combination of maggot, magnetic, macro, meaning "large", and -plex (meaning "comprised of several parts).
