Trivia

  • The design of Staccato Cliffs is based on the cliff dwellings of the Pueblo peoples.

Name origin

  • Staccato is form of musical articulation that signifies notes of a shortened duration. Notes played staccato are usually separated from the note that follows; in Italian, staccato means "detached". This follows the theme of locations in Urobos being named with musical terms, and may relate to how the town's most prominent residents, Izzie and Rachel, are so separate from one another in terms of personality, despite the fact that they are sisters. The sound of staccato notes is sometimes visually represented by stairs, steps, and ladders which are prominent features of the town. In addition, Staccato is the first accessible location detached from the beginning land mass.
