Design origin[]

Wendingo is based on a dingo, though it also shares similarities with an Arctic wolf. Its name alludes to its evolution's inspiration, the Wendigo, a creature from Algonquian mythology defined by its ravenous and cannibalistic hunger. Modern depictions often depict it as having a deer's skull for a head, which is where the line's antlers originate from.
